Nut welding is a projection welding process that welds nuts onto a metal object, creating assembly points for bolts, screws, and other fasteners. The projection contacts the mating sheet, current heats it to welding temperature, and electrode force collapses the heated projection to form fusion. Stud welding, also called drawn arc welding, joins metal studs to metal pieces by heating both parts with an arc. The fastener attaches without marring the opposite side, giving reliable fastening across a wide range of applications.
Arc stud welding uses four essential components, a DC power supply, a stud welding gun, cabling, and weld studs, working together to set each fastener.

Nearly any size or configuration of metal stud can be welded to a workpiece. The drawn arc process produces strong, one-sided welds on base metals with a thickness of 0.048 inch or greater, and fastens without marring the opposite face. It is faster and more efficient than alternative fastening methods, and because it applies to a wide range of metals, it opens broader industrial applications.
