Custom holding fixtures that clamp and locate parts for laser trimming and cutting, using automated clamping and magnets for repeatable results.
A laser holding fixture locates and secures a part so the beam trims and cuts exactly where it should, every cycle. We design fixtures for 2D and 3D laser trimming and cutting, building in automated clamping and magnets to keep parts rigid and registered. Each fixture is tailored to the part size, geometry, material, and production volume, so the laser sees the same setup on every run.

Automated clamping holds parts firm against locating surfaces, while magnets register flat metal blanks without obstructing the cut path.

| Cells | CNC, gantry, Cartesian, and six-axis |
| Build | Fixtures built around part geometry |
Fixtures support both 2D and 3D laser trimming and cutting. For small to medium flat parts, a fixture can present blanks to a CNC laser. For larger or formed parts, fixtures are built to suit gantry, Cartesian, and six-axis robot cells. We accommodate a range of metals, matching the holding strategy to the material, part geometry, and batch size so the laser stays accurate.
- Automated clamping
- Magnetic hold-down
- 2D and 3D trimming
- Built around part flow

We design the fixture around your material flow, production volume, and how parts load and unload, so it fits the cell instead of fighting it.

This Service
Laser cutting works across a variety of metals, and we build fixtures to hold those blanks and formed parts steady through the cut.
- Sheet and formed metal
- Fixture plate and table stock
- Magnetic clamping hardware
Over 50 years and over 40,000 sq ft of design and fabrication capability back holding fixtures built for repeatable laser trimming and cutting.
