End-of-arm tooling is the equipment attached to the end of a robotic arm, also called an end effector. It is what allows the robot to perform a specific function, from random bin picking and pick-and-place to welding, small parts handling, and parts inspection. Quick changers let a robot switch from one end effector to another automatically, in seconds. With electric and pneumatic interfaces connecting multiple tool sides, a single arm can move between gripping, welding, and other process tools without manual intervention. Vacuum cups handle load-bearing moves like large glass panes with tight, reliable seals, while grippers tend machines and assemble components.
